Celebrate Summer with the Big Tidy Up!
Have some fun with your friends, family and neighbours this summer with a Big Tidy Up followed by a special party to celebrate!
On Sunday 18th July Keep Britain Tidy is inviting communities across England to celebrate neighbourliness by having a Big Tidy Up followed by a celebratory lunch in their street, garden or on spare common ground.
Celebrate with a Big Lunch!
Keep Britain Tidy has teamed up with The Big Lunch to bring communities and neighbourhoods across England together for a special summer celebration. So, once you’ve done your tidy up, why not celebrate your hard work with a barbecue in the sunshine, a simple tea party in your back garden, or even a full on street party with entertainment, games, food, music and bunting!
It couldn’t be easier to take part. All you need to do is register to the Big Tidy Up website at www.thebigtidyup.org (and select 'the Big Lunch' from the dropdown list), then decide where you want to hold your event. Get knocking on doors to see if your friends and neighbours want to take part then get tidying!
Get together
It’s a great way to get the whole community together for some fun in the sun while helping to keep the local area clean and tidy.
Louise Marsden, spokesperson for Keep Britain Tidy said: “The Big Tidy Up is a great way to get everyone outdoors doing something positive for their local area. It’s also really good fun and a great way to meet people – and what better way to end a day’s efforts than with a Big Lunch to celebrate afterwards?”
So why not join today and get your friends, family and neighbours together a great Big Tidy Up and post litter pick party?!
